What is your favourite Glen Carlou wine?

My favourite Glen Carlou wine is the Petit Verdot / Tannat.

If we were to choose a wine from another producer or wine region what would be your first choice?

Rupert and Rothschild’s, Baron Edmond.

What do you like to do in your downtime/days off?

Off time is dedicated to a little reading, epic fantasy, Playing pool and Playing PS3.

What is the best wine you have ever tasted?

The best wine thus far is the Glen Carlou 2009 Petit Verdot / Tannat.

Where is your favourite holiday destination?

Going back home to Robertson and spending time with family.

If you were on a deserted island what three items would you take with you?

Deserted island… some flint, a big knife and warm clothes.

What is on your bedside table at the moment?

A photo of me and my fiancée Angelique, and a rubic’s cube

How do you define success?

Letting your life’s work speak for you, in such a way that it positively influences the people’s lives around you. Letting them want to better their lives.

If you were in the wine industry, what career would you have entered?

I would have loved studying astronomy. The universe is so vast and interesting.

What is the best part of your job?

The best part of my job is the people I work with.

Who is your inspiration / role model?

This I only discovered after my mother passed away. My mother is/was my role model. She was the one who raised me and my sister up, alone.

What is your favourite food?

My favourite food is pizza, as long as there is bacon, chicken, salami, chorizo, and cheese involved. No sea food.

What is your favourite gadget?

My cellphone is my favourite gadget.
