Step into the inaugural celebration of what will become an annual Glen Carlou tradition. On Saturday, 8 November 2025, the estate opens its gates for an elegant, immersive afternoon devoted to our flagship wines, Gravel Quarry Cabernet Sauvignon and Quartz Stone Chardonnay.
From the moment you arrive, a welcome glass of Glen Carlou Cap Classique sets the tone for a relaxed yet refined experience. Stroll through and enjoy walk-around tastings of the full current range, each wine perfectly accompanied with an endless selection of canapés crafted by our Chef Eric Bertrand.

Walk-around Tastings & Canapés
Begin with a welcome glass of Cap Classique, then explore tasting stations featuring our full wine selection, accompanied by Chef Eric Bertrand’s exquisite canapés. Sip, savour, and stroll at your own pace in a relaxed, elegant atmosphere.
Vertical Tastings
Step into Glen Carlou’s Connosseur’s Corner for a private vertical tasting with winemaker Johnnie Calitz or sommelier Stefan Reinmuth. Discover Gravel Quarry Cabernet Sauvignon and Quartz Stone Chardonnay vintages across four 45-minute sessions. Attendance is included in your tickets; however spots are limited, and sessions are on a first-come, first-served basis
Curator-Led Art Sessions
Join Curator Christa Swart and guest artists for two 30-minute sessions exploring the current group exhibition. Enjoy a glass of wine while learning the stories behind works by South African artists in an intimate, engaging setting designed for art lovers.
Unwind
Relax with curated cheese & charcuterie boards and premium bottle service as soft live acoustic music fills the space. Immerse yourself in conversation, ambience, and the afternoon’s flavours. Meet the team, all whilst overlooking the beautiful vistas of our valley.
