The mandate of The Cape Wine Auction is “to raise significant funds to support education in the winelands of South Africa’.
To date The Cape Wine Auction has raised in excess of R17 million, which, without offset or deduction, was distributed to thirteen charities actively working with education, from infant to adult, across the Western Cape.
For the third year, Glen Carlou is proud to be an Auction Ambassador and this year we are delighted to have partnered with The Grande Roche Hotel. Our lot includes the following:
A personal blending experience with winemaker Arco Laarman as you blend your own special 225 litre barrel of wine Red or White
A private five-course celebration lunch or dinner experience for 20 guests at Glen Carlou, paired with a selection of Glen Carlou wines.
One night’s stay for 20 guests at The Grand Roche Hotel
The winning bidder will receive a personal blending experience to blend their own special barrel of wine with winemaker Arco Laarman who will guide you through the process to ensure your wine is curated around your tastes. This unique blend will be bottled and labelled with your own bespoke label.
In addition the winning bidder will enjoy a private five-course celebration lunch or anniversary dinner for 20 guests at Glen Carlou. Each course will be paired with a Glen Carlou wine and hosted by members of the Glen Carlou team.
Included will be one nights’ stay for you and your 19 guests in one of ten newly refurbished Terrace Suites at The Grande Roche Hotel.
