Silverthorn Cap Classique Jewel Box – absolutely the best bubbles
What do you like to do in your downtime/days off?
Enjoying the good produce of our area with great friends and family and I love to travel and see new places
What is the best wine you have ever tasted?
A recent one that comes to my mind and a total surprise, was a 1996 Vouvray Chenin Blanc from the Loire Valley which we opened 18 years after we bought it, and it was still so good and full of flavours
Where is your favourite holiday destination?
Summer, sun, sea – so it must be our family holiday place – Onrus River close to Hermanus – and of course good friends, family, crayfish and good wines!
If you were on a deserted island what three items would you take with you?
Sauvignon Blanc, Rose and Pinot Noir
What is on your bedside table at the moment?
Lindt almond and white chocolate for a late night snack and my iPad
How do you define success?
I would like to quote Steve Jobs – “My model for business is The Beatles. They balanced each other and the total was greater than the sum of the parts. Great things in business are never done by one person, they’re done by a team of people.”
If you were not in the wine industry, what career would you have entered?
Lady of leisure could have been very, very nice!
What is the best part of your job?
The view from my office over the beautiful vineyards is so inspiring and the versatility of my work

Pam Golding – her graceful style, networking skills and her passion for property is some of her outstanding characteristics that makes her such a successful business woman
What is your favourite food?
Slow roasted crispy duck with caramelized berries and raspberry vinegar jus
What is your favourite gadget?
My Chef’n Garlic Zoom – works excellent!
