COVID-19 LATEST UPDATE

” The consequences of COVID-19 are seen internationally and now being felt locally. We proactively implemented and intensified occupational protocols and hygiene applications across our business, which enabled Glen Carlou’s Visitor Centre and Restaurant to stay open for business without any incidents. Yet the reality is that we are now at a point where I have resolved to close the Restaurant and Tasting Room, temporarily. Until further notice, today March 20th will be the last day of service at our much-admired Restaurant and Tasting Room.

Our Cellar Door remains open for sales of our award-winning wines, and if the Lakrids by Bulow bug bit you, if you are in the area, I’d suggest dropping by to top up your supply! Wine purchases can also be made online, and under the current circumstances, free shipping will apply to all orders of 12 bottles or more delivered in South Africa.

Our Gallery remains open for visitors to enjoy the current installation, Hard but Soft and to delight in Andries Gouws’ solo exhibition. We are exploring digital options for a virtual opening on April 15th of Alex Hamilton’s Wild Wild Life. A traditional exhibition opening is no longer possible, however, we want to share the exciting works and so honour the labour-intensive craft of the contributing artists.

We all look forward to welcoming our Glen Carlou friends back to the Estate. In the meantime, please keep in contact on any of our social media platforms, via email, or through the website, using the chat function.

It is my sincere hope that you and your families stay well. ”
– Johan Erasmus, Managing Director Glen Carlou
