In celebration of national Drink Chenin Blanc Day, we are shining the spotlight on our Collection Chenin Blanc.
The Glen Carlou Collection Chenin Blanc is made from 50-year-old bush vine fruit grown under dry land conditions in the Swartland, this wine was barrel fermented in 2nd and 3rd fill French oak for 4 months. The grapes were fermented naturally, allowing the wine to develop at its own pace under Johnnie’s watchful care.
The 2018 Collection Chenin Blanc was awarded 95 points by renowned wine critic and Master of Wine, Tim Atkin and listed as one of his white wines of the year in his 2018 South Africa Report. Atkin described the wine: “Even better than the maiden release, this remarkable Chenin comes from a single grower in the Swartland. It’s an intense, heady, wonderfully scented white with ginger and white pepper scents, pithy and stony acidity.”
In celebration of this day, we are giving you a complimentary bottle of the remarkable 2018 vintage when you purchase 5 bottles of the 2019 Collection Chenin Blanc, awarded 94 points by Tim Atkin (MW). Buy this offer on our shop page.
